Hardwood floors were restored and new installed.
A wonderful wood burning fireplace warms guests in the wood clad library and a gas fireplace does the same in the parlor. Guests can enjoy breakfast with the ambiance and warmth of a gas fireplace in the formal dining room. Custom upholstery in all sorts of patterns and historic colors adorn all rooms. and The feeling you get when you walk in is that you’ve stepped back in time but in comfortable luxury. Attention to detail is everywhere!
The Inn is set back on a beautiful sloping almost 1 acre lot perched above Route 1 with a great view of Penobscot Bay. Located between the village of Camden and Camden Hills State Park; approximately one half mile respectively from either location. Camden Hills State Park offers an incredible bird’s eye view from the top of Mt. Battle overlooking Camden’s quaint and picturesque harbor, Penobscot Bay and the surrounding islands. On a clear day, visitors can see Cadillac Mountain at Acadia National Park. Mt. Megunticook, the highest peak on the mainland, is a moderate climb by foot trail.
The wide wraparound porch is the perfect place to begin the day with a delicious breakfast and cup of steaming coffee or to relax in the afternoon with a refreshing drink and a good book. On a summer day guests may catch a glimpse of a tall mast schooner or grand yacht sailing out of Camden Harbor. The mid-coast of Maine and Camden in particular is a major destination location for visitors. First rate shopping, restaurants, museums and outdoor activities on the sea or coast promises something for everyone. Beauty and history can be found on every turn, not matter what the season.
